Library and Research Collections and Services Orientation

This orientation provides an overview of the collections available for research, and the services offered by Research Collections and Services. This will introduce internal patrons to the library’s physical space and organization, policies for access and use, and an introduction to available digital research tools. Associated guide: Research Collections and Services Orientation

Introduction to the Digital Asset Management (DAM) System

The Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, is a tool for managing, and accessing digital assets. The DAM allows for visual discovery of images and other media stored on the Museum's fileservers. This session will introduce users to the organization of the DAM and how to discover and obtain assets. This session will also teach users how the DAMs can be customized to fit their unique needs.

  • Length: 1.5 hours
  • Good for: All internal patrons. Please work with your supervisor to determine the benefit of this session for you. “Library and Research Collections and Services Orientation” is a prerequisite to this session.
