Do you need more images to illustrate your projects and work?

Jstor logoJSTOR is integrating images from Artstor’s growing public collections, offering “more than 1.3 million freely accessible images, videos, documents, and audio files from museums, archives, libraries, and faculty collections” in hopes that “by combining images with essential scholarship, you’ll strengthen the depth and quality of your research, make innovative connections, and spark unexpected discoveries”.

JSTOR is a subscription database providing access to millions of academic journal articles, books, and primary sources in 75 disciplines, and now includes many more images!

In addition to the content the Museum subscribes to, you can find open and free content such as journals, books, and research reports.

How to get access and learn more?

  • Go to JSTOR and log in. JSTOR subscription content can be accessed from the Museum's campus or contact the library for remote access credentials.
  • Searching for images in JSTOR is easy through the image-only search, which can also be accessed through JSTOR’s homepage. You can filter image searches by classification, country, and dates, as well as save and export groups of images.
  • If you already have an Artstor username and password, you can use this to log in to JSTOR to create a Workspace, where you can save and organize research and images.
  • Contact the library anytime for help or questions!
